DescriptionStemless violet with leaves and flowering stalks produced directly from the rhizome. The violet-blue petals are darker toward the center but the throat is white. The hairs on the two lateral petals are club-shaped. Flower stalks are typically longer than the leaf petioles so that the flowers are held above the leaves.
