Description: Treelet, to 4 m; twig with a pair of bulb-like expansions next to petiole; leaves alternate, solitary, glabrous, narrowly lanceolate, apex acuminate, base acute to obtuse, lateral veins 8-12, flat above; flower white with pink flush, 2 cm; fruit white.
Local distribution: Pacific slope at 1550-1700 m.
Species range: Costa Rica
Habitat: Open understory and light gaps in cloud forest.
Phenology: Flower: jan, jul. Fruit: may-jun.

Comments: This species is vegetatively quite similar to Cestrum irazuense and C. lance leaf.
