DescriptionDeciduous shrub 3 ? 10 feet tall that blooms either just before or just as it leafs out. The leaves are pale green and 1 - 3 inches long. The flowers are 1 - 2 inches across and have glandular hairs. The fruit is an elongate capsule.
CommentIt is more common on the north side of the Range and is rarely found on basalt.
