DescriptionA shrub 3 - 15 feet tall with small (? inch) yellow flowers produced along the branches before the leaves come out in the Spring. The dull green leaves have smooth margins and a spicy smell when crushed as do the red fruit.
CommentIt is one of the more common wetland shrubs. Male and female flowers are usually on separate plants.
