Male identification:

  • Face black, postocular spots blue.
  • Narrow blue antehumeral stripe.
  • Metepisternum with a broken blue stripe.
  • A heavy black stripe over second suture.
  • Metepimeron brown with blurry blue at posterior end. S1 with blue on dorsum. S2 black with red-brown lateral stripe.
  • S3-7 black with indistinct blue or brown basal marks on dorsum. S8-10 blue on dorsum, but blue on S8 angled upward and posteriorly as in A. adamsi.
  • Antenodals 4/3.
  • Lower appendage 2-lobed.

Male hind wing length: 17.0-18.0

Female abdomen length: 25.0

Female hind wing length: 18.0

Local distribution: Eastern lowlands.

Habitat: Small forest streams.

Abundance: Rare.
