Male identification:

  • Labrum blue, postclypeus pale with a pair of black spots.
  • Lower face blue, forming a straight line across antenna bases.
  • Blue postocular spots.
  • Orange-tan antehumeral stripe bordering first suture.
  • Mesepisternum with a broad black stripe.
  • Metepisternum with a narrower black stripe along second suture.
  • S2 mostly blue on dorsum, S3 with a short dorsal blue triangle.
  • S8-9 mostly blue on dorsum, S10 black.
  • S2-7 each with a pale lateral dash and a partial blue basal ring.
  • Upper appendage in profile shaped like a linoleum knife, with inner lobe large and down-pointing.
  • Antenodals 3/3.

Male abdomen length: 28.0-29.0

Male hind wing length: 21.0-22.0

Abundance: Rare.
