Male identification:

  • Dorsum of S3-5 mostly blue, S6-7 with a basal blue triangle.
  • S8-9 blue on dorsum, partly black on sides, S10 all black.

Male abdomen length: 26.0-27.0

Male hind wing length: 20.0-21.0

Local distribution: Western slope, 300 to 1400 m.

Habitat: Sunny areas along small forested streams.

Abundance: Rare.

Species range: Costa Rica, Ecuador
