  • Markings on head and thorax bright orange.
  • Dorsum of S8-9 blue.
  • S10 with a tall forked horn.

Similar species:

Male abdomen length: 28.0-29.0

Male hind wing length: 18.0-19.0

Local distribution: Eastern lowlands.

Habitat: Sunny spots on swampy ponds and small streams in forested areas.

Abundance: Uncommon.

Species range: Widespread in South America
