Male identification:

  • Smoky wing tips.
  • Elongate, rachet-shaped lower appendage.

Female identification:

  • Stigma present.
  • Thorax with metallic green markings.
  • Mesepimeral stripe incomplete.
  • Postclypeus metallic green.
  • Small spine on side of thorax.

Female abdomen length: 33.0

Female hind wing length: 29.0

Local distribution: Eastern slope; lowlands to about 1100 m.

Habitat: Small clear streams.

Abundance: Uncommon.
