Male identification:

• Dorsum of S7 all black, a blue streak present or absent on lower side.
• Upper appendage without a subapical indentation on the upper edge.

Female identification:

• Dorsum of S8 black.
• Dorsum of S9 with a longitudinal blue stripe, narrow at base and widening to sides near apex.
• S10 blue on dorsum and sides.

Similar species:

• Acanthagrion viridescens

Male abdomen length: 24.0-25.0

Male hind wing length: 16.0

Female abdomen length: 22.0-23.0

Female hind wing length: 16.0

Local distribution: Eastern slope at 600 - 1000 m.

Habitat: Spring trickles in sunny areas.

Abundance: Common.
