  • Lower appendage very short.
  • Red hindwing patch truncated.
  • Postclypeus metallic blue-green.

Female identification:

  • Stigma present.
  • Metallic markings green.
  • Stripe on mesepimeron reaches end.
  • Postclypeus with metallic green.

Similar species:

Local distribution: Eastern slope at 900 m.

Habitat: Small clear streams in forest.

Species range: Mexico to Panama, South America
