- Labrum, postclypeus and frons red, top and rear of head black, underside half black.
- Thorax tan to brown with a broad black stripe on carina, often with a short black stripe on mesepimeron.
- Abdomen uniformly bright red-orange.
- Wings clear.
- Labrum, postclypeus and frons light brown, rest of dorsum of head black, underside of head half black, half pale. Thorax beige to tan without dark markings, carina with a broad black stripe. Prothoracic horns absent. Abdomen greenish-beige on sides, mostly black on top.
