Male identification:

  • Narrow green triangles on rear of head.
  • Thorax orange with inconspicuous black stripes.
  • First abdominal segment all orange; S3 black on dorsum.

Female identification:

  • Thorax green with black dorsum, no antehumeral stripe.
  • Ovipositor as long as cerci.

Size: Small

Body length: 32.0-33.0

Local distribution: Northern Pacific lowlands of Guanacaste Province.

Habitat: Slow rivers and streams.

Species range in Middle America: Costa Rica
