Male identification:

  • Pale colors dark aqua except for blue end of abdomen.
  • Mesepimeron mostly pale.
  • Abdomen mostly black.
  • S8 black on top with a broken blue stripe on side.
  • S9-10 blue above.
  • Upper appendage with inner lobe much longer than outer and with a hooked tip.

Size: Medium

Body length: 37.0-41.0

Local distribution: Pacific slope from lowlands to 600 m.

Habitat: Sunny riffles along medium streams.
