Male identification:

  • Postocular spots absent.
  • Postclypeus and labrum black (sometimes with blue spots).
  • Dorsum of S8-9 all blue.

Female identification:

  • Postocular spots absent.
  • Mesostigmal tubercles small, much lower than rear lobe of pronotum, and straight.

Size: Medium

Body length: 34.0-39.0

Local distribution: Dry Pacific slope at 600 - 1100 m.

Habitat: Very small streams in forest.

Species range in Middle America: Costa Rica
