Coryphaeschna adnexa (Hagen, 1861)Aeshnidae

Male identification:

  • Thorax green.
  • Abdomen dark red-brown.
  • Black T-spot on top of frons.
  • Face blue.
  • Size like Triacanthagyna, much smaller than C. viriditas, with abdomen 44-48 mm.

Female identification:

  • Black T-mark on frons extending over transverse groove on anterior side. Dorsum od S8-9 red brown, not black. Small size, abdomen 47-48 mm.

Body length: 64.0

Local distribution: Lowlands of both slopes.

Species range in Middle America: USA, Mexico, Guatemala to Panama, South America
