Male identification:

  • Eyes blue.
  • Thorax dark brown with two thick lateral bars without kinks.
  • Abdomen black with fine blue and green markings.

Female identification:

  • Similar to male, but lacks the blue markings on S2.

Size: Very large

Body length: 71.0

Local distribution: Pacific slope at 1400 - 1600 m.

Habitat: Small streams in primary forest.

Species range in Middle America: Mexico, Belize to Panama
