Abundance
  Male and female distinct.
  Male forewing black with bold yellow postdiscal bar.
  Hindwing with central white patch bordered by black.
  Underside with dappled gray and white camouflage pattern.
  Female forewing black with yellow postdiscal bar and 3-4 subapical cream spots.
  Hindwing yellow with wide black border.
  Underside much paler.

Local distribution: 55-62 mm
