Abundance
  Male and female similar, but male wings longer, more black on hindwing.
  Forewing with more spots than E. poecilina.
  Hindwing red-brown with wide black border; no discal bar.

Comments: DeVries thought it was limited to the Carillo area south of San Jose, but we have collected it as far north as La Tigra.
