Identification: Large, forewing and hindwing discs transparent lemon yellow, black markings mostly opaque, ventral forewing and ventral hindwing with paired marginal spots.

Local distribution: Atlantic slope at 600-1000 m.

Species range: Costa Rica to South America

Abundance: Uncommon

Early stages: Solitary

Larval food plants
Schultesianthus megalandrus

Comments: Isidro Chacn (pers. comm.) observed oviposition and reared the early stages. Common in large light gaps in primary forest at Refugio Eladio.
