Identification: Similar to the male, but hindwing discal area red-brown not yellow, prominent white marginal spots above, forewing more yellow than G. zygia.
Local distribution: Atlantic slope from lowlands to about 900 m; less abundant toward lowlands. Common at Refugio Eladio and Poco Sol; not reaching San Gerardo.
