Description: Calyx lobes and stem glabrous, corolla 4-5 cm in diameter, 4-5 cm long.

Abundance: abundant

Elevation: 900-1500 m

Slope: both Atlantic and Pacific

Flower phenology: August to February (sporadic in wet season)

Comments: The only pink species found in the Monteverde-Santa Elena area (above about 1200m).

Corolla color: pink-lavender

Corolla throat color: pink-magenta
