PodocarpaceaePodocarp family

  - Leaves are thick, flat, sharp-pointed needles, margin entire, spiraled.
  - Pine-like odor.
  - Male flowers in small catkins, female flowers solitary in leaf axils.
  - Fruit consists of a naked seed with attached red aril.

Diagnosis: Large cloud forest trees, simple, alternate leaves bunched at twig tips are slender, elliptic, and rubbery with prominent midvein, but inconspicuous lateral veins.

Diversity: Total: 1 genus, 1 species. Trees: 1 genus, 1 species.
