  - Leaves simple, opposite, serrate.
  - Dense wooly beige carpet of stellate hairs on leaf underside.
  - Interpetiolar ridge.
  - Small flowers on spike-like terminal inflorescences.

Diagnosis: One species of weedy treelet, without stipules, leaves simple opposite, serrate, pale wooly stellate hairs below, blade extends down petiole, interpetiolar ridge.

Similar families
Asteraceae: hairs simple.
Verbenaceae: twigs cuadrangular, without stellate hairs.

Diversity: Total: 4 genera, 5 species. Treelets: 1 genus, 1 species.
